The Schwinn Cycle Truck was used as a delivery bicycle for "Mom and Pop" grocery stores as well as the vehicle of choice on Hollywood movie sets. Most pictures featuring the Cycle Truck include various movie stars receiving their coffee, newspaper, etc. This bicycle, like the Panther, encouraged a work ethic among youngsters who were willing to make deliveries in their neighborhoods after school. Notice two different size tires, a 26x2 1/4 on the rear and a 20x2 1/4 on the front, leaving extra room for the much needed cargo space of the basket. The basket attached to the frame for sturdier load and came in two sizes. The stand was designed for upright parking while making deliveries. The billboard in the middle of the frame was an excellent space for local advertising.
